OK ... so where are we with this ....

Today I finally managed to get my third mobile phone working again. It's only taken me four months!!! (or five ... something like that)

...the long story short is that the adjustments made now mean it will work in Europe and I have a specialist SIM functioning at last. (I work in telephony and I operate my phone via a web browser ... long story.) Having a SIM telling you that you're going to incur roaming charges when you're already on UK shores is spooky ... but that's the price of comms these days.

With my history, I have good friends all over the place. Fortunately for me, they come to my side when I need them. I sometimes leave it too damn long before asking for help, because I like to do things myself ... but there are times when I have to hang my head, admit defeat and someone comes to my aid, just like another of my friends came with me to NeoSteel and My-Steel ... and now one will come with me to FetishIronworks.

It will, obviously, be a surprise visit because FI aren't corresponding with me again; but I know enough to know that someone will be there at the address, and having someone around who speaks Italian and knows how society works over there, we'll get to the bottom of things fairly easily.

It'll take a few months, for sure; got a few things to sort out in the UK first. Not least waiting until April when I get a new batch of holiday allowance ... but ... this is what it has, apparently, come to.

Additional ... correspondence was just received.

Time will now be needed ... as the events have obviously caused bad blood which must be overcome.

We will see what happens.

Question...

Here's the position...

*) Fetish Ironworks went incommunicado.

*) After six weeks, I concluded they had done a runner and warned people off them.

*) Two weeks after that, they popped up and sort-of apologised.

*) They are angry at ME because of my public response to their going silent.

*) I retract some of the things that I've done and ask they to keep in communication.

*) I wait another two weeks and ask for an update ... but more time passes with no more communication.

What would you do?

These are my options...

1) Wait a bit longer ... they are having problems swallowing their pride over the mess they've made and they'll probably come good in the end.

2) Given the quality of what they've sent so far, they probably can't make a decent belt, have spent the money and don't know how to break the news to me in order to negotiate going forward.

3) Cut your losses NOW and take to all the fetish sites and blast your experience of them to the world; taking the lost money out of their ass on social media and destroying their reputation.

4) You're going out to Muenchen in a few months and you have their address in Italy; you can take a few friends and knock on their door.

5) Contact the credit card company and file a complaint knowing that they'll go after FI's accounts.

6) Forgive them, toast a glass of wine, wish them luck and just carry on with life.

I'm having a real problem trying to think of what I should do here, so I'm turning to my peers for advice.

If you were in my situation ... what would you do?

It is always sad when a provider fails to respond and resolve the problem. I had informed them again and if I hear nothing in a week, I take it to all the fetish sites and blast your experience of them to the world; taking the lost money out of their ass on social media and destroying their reputation.
Every woman should wear chastity belt!
90% of women have never heard of it,
90% of all women who hear about it will find the idea good,
90% of all women who have tried it are enthusiastic.
There remains a lot of work

Sorry to hear you are having so many difficulties with chastity belt makers, MsKnight.

From what I've read so far, it seems you have been very accommodating and patient.

Good luck to you. BTW, have you gotten it resolved yet?
Chastity...fun to wear...horrible to have as a name!

Hello Both,

Good to see you back around Pyra. I hope you are well.

On the one hand, what has happened is unfortunate, and, yes, I've been trying to give time. I know that if I go all out on social media then I will do some very serious damage to their business. I have done some damage, but nothing like what is possible.

I have been on international TV, I am, "out" at work at least in my own department; and the books are basically outing me to the rest of my organisation. Plus I'm going to be part of a public anti-censorship campaign in the UK next month. So, I can actually do them some very serious damage without encountering much in the way of issue, myself.

But ... I would rather them talk and get this sorted out.

If I pull the trigger on a campaign, then there is no going back. These are people's livelihoods I'm dealing with.

But ... how much time do I give them ... and it isn't as if they are talking with me. - *sigh*

You know ... part of me wants to go toe to toe to the bloke and ask him to his face, what the f**k he thinks he's playing at. ... in fact, that's what I'm planning for April/May. I won't be very far away from him. The only thing holding me back from this, is that having a screaming match about how bad his chastity belt making is ... won't do his reputation very much good in his home village. A good chunk of Italians speak English perfectly well that his life will be made a misery ... if I take my Italian speaking friend ... well ... no one will be in any doubt about what goes on in his workshop!

Part of me also wants to humiliate him in court; which is perfectly in the realms of possibility ... in fact, one of the benefits of being, "out," is that I can talk with the legal department about things like this, and they won't bat an eyelid ... because it's, "me," asking!!!

I'm just so furious that they're not talking. I'm holding back so much right now ... and this amount of anger isn't doing me any good either.

I have this evening sent another e-mail stating that I require correspondence from them by the 16th.

If I don't hear anything, then I will return to social media about my experiences with Fetish Ironworks to date.

It isn't as if I'm asking for much ... just communication.

Is that REALLY to much to ask?

Sounds like you've been more then accommodating for the amount of bs they are piling onto you due to their lack of communication and satisfactory product.

Were it not a fetish company, were it.. a grocery store or car maker - a faulty product, not getting what one has paid for, and a general lack of communication; if not totally just flat out ignoring you, then most would say roast the bastards on a spit and stand behind you as you lambaste them. They've got your back and support you.

Sadly because it is a niche market, and a fetish market, many people will simply ignore it and think little of the lose of your time, money, and mental well being. Do you want to ruin the lively hood of the people making these belts? No probably not, it would take a rather vengeful and malicious person to want to ruin someones job. However: that does not mean that they have not wronged you and that you do not deserve some recompense that may or may not need to come out of their hides. Someone who cannot do business should not be in business and I personally do not believe that it is your job to just swallow your lose and let bygones be bygones and let them move onto the next sucker who may or may not get the same pile of crap.

Your job is to look after you, and if they; as a business, cannot handle negative feedback for shoddy workmanship and/or work ethics, then let them go out of business.

I would reverse the charges on the credit card to get their attention, and if that failed I'd hammer them on the social media.

Either way, I wouldn't be doing business with them.
